Wow, what an epic day it was today! Sixteen people on a private yacht, set off from Amador in Panama City, Panama for a day of cruising the Pacific Ocean – and hopefully whale-watching! We headed for Otoque Island, which took us about 3 1/2 hours to reach. On the way there we were greeted by a pod of friendly dolphins, which came quite close to the boat, showing off and saying hello. It was truly magical!
When we arrived at Otoque Island, we found a little cove to hang out in, dropped the anchor, and jumped in the water for a swim and remained there for lunch on the boat. On the way back, we spotted a mama and baby whale! It was just amazing to see these creatures in the wild. It was extremely difficult to choose my ‘Photo of the Day’ today, but I will be preparing a ‘virtual tour’ compilation of my photos and will post the link tomorrow. Watch for it on my Facebook!
