As I was walking today, I noticed this tree growing within the fold of another’s roots, and found this sight amusing. It was a totally different kind of tree than that which was sheltering it – as if the big tree was ‘adopting’ the little one, regardless of it’s heritage. Naturally it brought to mind my recent visit to an adoption. The mother is sheltering a young one, regardless of where it came from – I love it!
