365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 225

The Great Canadian North

The Great Canadian North. During my visit to Canada this time, I’ve really noticed how cold it is here. Only a few short weeks of warm, sunny weather, and that’s it! The rest of the time is spent in long pants and sweaters!

This photo was taken at a friend’s house northwest of Toronto.  The ‘Muskoka’ chairs face a view of water (over the hedges), and is just so representative of northern Ontario. I was huddled in my sweater and jeans as the kids happily played in the pool – despite the cool temperatures. I’m sadly realizing how used to the cold Canadians really are! Any bit of heat and they run into the air conditioning, as they simply are not used to it. I’ve been truly spoiled over the past year and a half living in Panama, and really feel grateful for the opportunity that we’ve been able to experience there.
