365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 204

This is one of my favourite smelling flowers in Panama and it is called a plumeria. They are actually small trees that have these wonderful blossoms that smell like perfume. From what I understand they are not just found here, as my Texan friends said they have them there, and I’m sure they just love growing in warm areas. I just know that we don’t have them in Canada, as it’s probably just too cold most of the time. This shot was taken, as you can probably tell, right after an afternoon rain – it is rainy season. The downpours never last long, but they leave everything smelling wonderfully for a while until the sun’s heat dries it all back up again.
