365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 180

The circle of life.

While further examining the contents of my ‘gift bag’ that I received yesterday with contents from the Santa Clara beach, I was amazed to find this fairly intact skeleton. It is difficult to tell what it used to be. Nevertheless it reminds me of the circle of life. This previously-living creature has only skeletal remains left, which ended up in my hands. These remains will eventually break down and be recycled back into nature, only to evolve into something else down the line. I wonder what it will be in its next evolution? 😉

  1. When I shared my blog post on Facebook, a friend living in Florida shared this link with me, identifying the skeleton as a sailcat fish. Check it out! …http://lindasplace.me/CrucifixFish.html
