With all the walks on the beach that I take – in high tide and in low – I have never found a starfish or sand dollar. Yet, my friends seem to find all kinds of them! It must have to do with the currents, etc. The beach I walk on most frequently here in Coronado, Panama is the one least used by swimmers – because of the wicked under-tows. I walk the dogs on this beach because we seldom come across many swimmers or walkers, especially in the morning, so the dogs can’t get into trouble by bothering anyone who is not necessarily a dog-lover.
So yesterday, when my friend Yolanda handed me a piece of paper folded up, I was ecstatic to find a starfish from the Santa Clara beach where she walks her dogs in the mornings! Of course it had to become my photo of the day :-).
