365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 158

PCIS in Gorgona, Panama

Good English schools in Panama are hard to come by – unless you want to pay tens of thousands of dollars for your child to go to school. Panama Coast International School (PCIS) is a great little school in Gorgona, Panama. There are approximately 40 kids who attend here, from all different countries of origin – Canada, USA, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain and of course a few from Panama. The director is passionate about what she does, and is diligent about offering programs of interest to all the children. They have offered extracurricular activities such as music lessons, taekwando, photography, and videography. Many expats like myself volunteer time to help struggling readers, and other students in need. It is run like a close-knit family, with no bullying, no cliques, just love and guidance. Thank you Kathy Kress for doing what you do! It has made being in Panama much better for our kids!
