Today I was awakened by rain and thunderstorms at about 5:30am. It rained for about two hours, so I figured my morning walk would need to be on a semi-paved road, rather than our usual walk to the beach via the ‘dirt’ roads. I took my time getting ready, trying to ensure the rain had really stopped, so started later than usual. When Jack and I were nearing the end of the walk I glanced down and saw this flower petal, face down and knew I needed to take it home for a photo. It’s not one I haven’t photographed before, but the position it was in grabbed me. Below are the other angles I liked. Note the green petals are red on top, like a layer painted on.
