This is a photo taken today of the ‘bomberos’ or fire truck which takes care of the Coronado area of Panama. I would love to know what year this truck was made as it has got to be an antique! The good news is that I don’t see or hear it going out to put out too many fires. That being said, sometimes ‘old’ is much more effective than ‘new’. I learned a new trick in Photoshop today in order to have the truck red and the rest sepia :-).
I am in a Murder Mystery play that will be debuting at Picasso Restaurant in Coronado, and the firemen have enjoyed watching our rehearsals as we sing and yell out our lines from across the street. They often wave at us, with big smiles on their faces. A couple of us decided today that we will go and introduce ourselves soon and ask for an ‘inside view’ of the fire truck and station – should be entertaining!
