This is an amaranth flower, and I pass on my little walk to the beach, as it stands quite tall and stunning in front of one of the houses. There used to be two bunches of them, and then they were removed for a few months. But alas, it was replanted a couple of months ago, and is in full bloom finally! The ants seem to really like this flower for some reason, and I wondered if that was the reason it was removed originally. I didn’t realize until after I viewed the photos on my computer that there was a butterfly that had stopped by for a quick visit as I took the photo – you can see it at the top left corner of the flower. These flowers look gorgeous in front of the white fence surrounding the house! Yet another stunning flower in the beach town of Coronado, Panama.
