365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 137

Beautiful driftwood!

When I took Jack for a walk on the beach this morning, we saw a huge tree that had washed ashore. It was not going to be moved by anyone, as it was large, looked quite heavily embedded on the shore, and laid about 40 feet from the water. It was beautiful and the roots seemed to want to tell a story! I took a couple of photos using my phone, but decided to return with my ‘real’ camera.

I went back home, had some breakfast, did a few things, and about 3 hours later I returned to the beach with my camera. However, it appeared that the ocean was trying to reclaim its gift! The tide had risen dramatically, and much to my surprise was moving the tree. It will be interesting to see if it is there tomorrow when we return for our morning walk!

The largest driftwood I’ve seen yet!
