365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 113

Mango pyramid 🙂

This morning I went out to the mango tree and found 15 mangoes!! I brought them in, cut them up and put them in the freezer. A couple of hours later I went out and there were about another 5. These ones were taken to our friend’s birthday party for whoever was in need of some mangoes – and they went quickly! They seem to be dropping like crazy now, with TONS still left on the tree for picking. I have a feeling our freezer is not going to be big enough to hold all those mangoes, lol. Last night we had a wonderful Thai Green Mango Salad with unripe mangoes picked directly from the tree. What a treat – to walk out into the yard and pick mangoes from our own tree, then basil and culantro (the Central American version of cilantro) from our garden to make the salad. These are the wonders of Panama that I just love!
