Today I had to take the car in for service once again – to hopefully finally fix the stalling issue. Friends live about 3 minutes away from the mechanic’s shop, so I told them I’d hang out with them while the car was being serviced. They said they were at the beach, to come and join them – so I did! I walked up the beach a few km until the river mouth met the ocean, and just past there I found them. She was painting the image that you see in this photo and he was reading and critiquing a book that a friend had written. Their dogs were frolicking in the ocean. It was one of those ‘ah ha’ moments when I thought ‘wow, I would not be killing time this way in Canada while my car was being serviced!’ We hung out for a while, ate some cheese and fruit, went for a swim, chatted and walked back to semi-civilization after a couple of hours. Life is good in Panama :-).
