365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 68

This is the ‘grandfather’ clock at my girlfriend’s house. It is quite majestic and looks quite regal hanging in her living room. I adore it, as I think it is gorgeous! It does however, bring to my attention the fact that in Canada, the USA and many countries in the world our lives depend on knowing the time at all points throughout the day. We have appointments here or there, kids to pick up, things to do and places to be. Life seemed to be a big race. In Panama I never wear a watch, unless it is for decorative purposes. Sure, there are still a few things I need to know the time for, but in general I don’t feel like I’m constantly looking at the clock. My shoulders are starting to relax and lower themselves away from my ears, and I’m learning to truly relax. Life in Panama is good … and MUCH warmer than Canada!
