365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 63

The hibiscus stigma, pollen sacs and anthers remind me a bit of fireworks in this photo.

Over the last two or three days we have had lots of hibiscus blooms – which makes me very happy. The sun just keeps shining, and the blossoms just keep coming during this wonderful dry season called ‘summer’ here in Panama. I actually find that the most stunning parts of the tropical hibiscus blossom are the stigma and pollen sac. I never seem to tire of photographing these gorgeous gifts!
