This cactus is in front of one of the beach homes in Coronado (Panama). I was amazed at the layers of colors that came out in the photo, and as a result had to use it for my photo of the day. We are currently in the midst of summer, aka ‘dry season’ and haven’t had rain since just before Christmas (about 2 months). It is about 35C – 38C on average (95F – 100F). Amazingly, we don’t really feel the heat, because there is a beautiful summer breeze that is almost continual. This part of Panama is what I LOVE. The other thing that is interesting about this photo is that the grass is dead due to no water, yet the ocean lies only 50 yard away!
