365 Day Photo Challenge – Day 20

The sweetness of innocence.

This afternoon was surfing lessons at El Palmar Beach. Every other Friday has become quite the social afternoon, as about four or five sets of parents (and the list is growing) take their kids for surfing lessons and us parents get to watch, with our coolers and sunscreen. I have to say this is much more fun than standing in cold arenas or stinky gyms!

Near the end of our beach time today this little guy and his brother came toddling along the beach with his parents nearby. He was so sweet and innocent! As I took this photo we chatted briefly with his parents. His father explained that he is a Panamanian artist who creates beautiful jewellery (he showed us some he was wearing) for sale in the El Valle market – which captured the interest of many of the women in our group. His older son, (about 3 years old maybe) proceeded to bury my feet in sand, but this little guy was just taking everything in. I look at this little one and wonder how his life will evolve.
